1) The Centre government has appointed Deputy CAG S Ramann as Chairperson of pension fund regulator PFRDA.
➨ Ramann would replace incumbent Deepak Mohanty whose term comes to an end in May 2025.
2) Delhi became the 35th State and Union Territory to implement the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) after the National Health Authority (NHA) of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Delhi.
3) H Shankar has officially assumed the role of Managing Director (MD) of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), a position he has been holding in an additional capacity since July 16, 2024.

➨The Summit meeting was attended by the leaders of the seven member countries of BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) – India, Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan.
10) N Chandrasekaran has been appointed to the IMF’s Advisory Council on Entrepreneurship & Growth to contribute to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and productivity.
11) Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Army conducted four successful flight-tests of the Army version of Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha.
➨The four operational flight-trials were carried out against high-speed aerial targets. The missiles intercepted the aerial targets and destroyed them, registering direct hits.

1) केंद्र सरकार ने डिप्टी सीएजी एस रमन को पेंशन फंड नियामक पीएफआरडीए का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया है।
➨ रमन मौजूदा अध्यक्ष दीपक मोहंती की जगह लेंगे, जिनका कार्यकाल मई 2025 में समाप्त हो रहा है।
2) केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय (एमओएचएफडब्ल्यू) के राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य प्राधिकरण (एनएचए) द्वारा दिल्ली सरकार के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए जाने के बाद दिल्ली आयुष्मान भारत प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना (एबी पीएम-जेएवाई) को लागू करने वाला 35वां राज्य और केंद्र शासित प्रदेश बन गया।
3) एच शंकर ने आधिकारिक तौर पर चेन्नई पेट्रोलियम कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (सीपीसीएल) के प्रबंध निदेशक (एमडी) की भूमिका संभाली है, वह 16 जुलाई, 2024 से अतिरिक्त क्षमता में इस पद पर हैं।
4) रेल मंत्रालय के तहत नवरत्न पीएसयू, रेलटेल कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड ने रेलवे क्षेत्र के लिए विशेष कौशल विकास कार्यक्रम शुरू करने के लिए लैमरिन टेक स्किल्स यूनिवर्सिटी (एलटीएसयू), पंजाब और राष्ट्रीय कौशल विकास निगम (एनएसडीसी) के साथ साझेदारी की है।

➨शिखर बैठक में BIMSTEC (बहु-क्षेत्रीय तकनीकी और आर्थिक सहयोग के लिए बंगाल की खाड़ी पहल) के सात सदस्य देशों – भारत, थाईलैंड, म्यांमार, बांग्लादेश, श्रीलंका, नेपाल और भूटान के नेताओं ने भाग लिया।
10) एन चंद्रशेखरन को नवाचार, उद्यमशीलता और उत्पादकता को बढ़ावा देने में योगदान देने के लिए उद्यमिता और विकास पर IMF की सलाहकार परिषद में नियुक्त किया गया है।
11) रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (DRDO) और भारतीय सेना ने ओडिशा के तट पर डॉ. एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम द्वीप से मध्यम दूरी की सतह से हवा में मार करने वाली मिसाइल (MRSAM) के सेना संस्करण के चार सफल उड़ान परीक्षण किए।
➨चार परिचालन उड़ान परीक्षण उच्च गति वाले हवाई लक्ष्यों के विरुद्ध किए गए। मिसाइलों ने हवाई लक्ष्यों को रोका और उन्हें नष्ट कर दिया, जिससे सीधा प्रहार हुआ।
