1) Former bureaucrat Anuradha Prasad was sworn in as a Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) member.
➨ Ms. Prasad is a former Secretary of the Inter-State Council Secretariat under the Home Ministry.
➨The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Lt Gen Raj Shukla (retd), the senior most member of the Commission.

2) Union Minister of State for Education and Development of the North Eastern Region, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, inaugurated a two-day National Workshop on Multi-Disciplinary Education and Research Universities (MERU) under Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) at ICAR, New Delhi.

3) The Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) was officially launched in Mumbai during the WAVES 2025 event by the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw.
➨ This institution is part of a national effort to promote excellence in the AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) sector, aiming to position India as a global hub for digital creativity.

4) India has risen to rank 151 out of 180 in the World Press Freedom Index 2025. The report, put together by Reporters Without Borders (RWB) raised alarm about economic pressure being a pressing concern for most media outlets worldwide. India ranked 159 in 2024.

5) The Ministry of Labour & Employment has partnered with Rapido by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance employment opportunities in the logistics and transport sector through the National Career Service (NCS) portal.

6) Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, inaugurated the Khelo India Multipurpose Hall in Kamle district of Arunachal Pradesh.

7) The government reconstituted the National Security Advisory Board and appointed former R&AW chief Alok Joshi as its chairman.
➨Other members include former Western Air Commander Air Marshal PM Sinha, Lt Gen AK Singh and Rear Admiral Monty Khanna are the retired officers from the military services.

8) India and Denmark have signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding to deepen their energy cooperation, with a strong focus on clean and sustainable energy solutions.

9) The Indian Air Force (IAF) commenced its much-anticipated “land and go” drill on the 3.5-km stretch of the Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in the country’s defence preparedness.

10) All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal has secured the second rank among hospitals across the country for successfully implementing a paperless and queue-less OPD registration system under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

11) India delivered an impressive performance at the inaugural Asian U-15 & U-17 Boxing Championships in Amman, Jordan, securing a total of 43 medals across various categories. These included 15 gold, 6 silver, and 22 bronze medals.

2) केंद्रीय शिक्षा और पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र विकास राज्य मंत्री डॉ. सुकांत मजूमदार ने नई दिल्ली स्थित आईसीएआर में प्रधानमंत्री उच्चतर शिक्षा अभियान (पीएम-यूएसएचए) के तहत बहु-विषयक शिक्षा और अनुसंधान विश्वविद्यालयों (एमईआरयू) पर दो दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय कार्यशाला का उद्घाटन किया।

3) केंद्रीय सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव द्वारा वेव्स 2025 कार्यक्रम के दौरान मुंबई में भारतीय रचनात्मक प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (आईआईसीटी) का आधिकारिक तौर पर शुभारंभ किया गया।
➨ यह संस्था AVGC (एनीमेशन, विजुअल इफेक्ट्स, गेमिंग और कॉमिक्स) क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्टता को बढ़ावा देने के राष्ट्रीय प्रयास का हिस्सा है, जिसका लक्ष्य भारत को डिजिटल रचनात्मकता के लिए वैश्विक केंद्र के रूप में स्थापित करना है।

4) भारत विश्व प्रेस स्वतंत्रता सूचकांक 2025 में 180 में से 151वें स्थान पर पहुंच गया है। रिपोर्टर्स विदाउट बॉर्डर्स (RWB) द्वारा तैयार की गई रिपोर्ट ने दुनिया भर के अधिकांश मीडिया आउटलेट्स के लिए आर्थिक दबाव को एक गंभीर चिंता का विषय बताया है। 2024 में भारत 159वें स्थान पर होगा।

5) श्रम और रोजगार मंत्रालय ने राष्ट्रीय कैरियर सेवा (NCS) पोर्टल के माध्यम से रसद और परिवहन क्षेत्र में रोजगार के अवसरों को बढ़ाने के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर करके रैपिडो के साथ भागीदारी की है।

6) केंद्रीय युवा मामले और खेल तथा श्रम और रोजगार मंत्री डॉ. मनसुख मंडाविया ने अरुणाचल प्रदेश के कामले जिले में खेलो इंडिया बहुउद्देशीय हॉल का उद्घाटन किया।

7) सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार बोर्ड का पुनर्गठन किया और पूर्व रॉ प्रमुख आलोक जोशी को इसका अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया।
➨अन्य सदस्यों में पूर्व पश्चिमी वायु कमांडर एयर मार्शल पीएम सिन्हा, लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल एके सिंह और रियर एडमिरल मोंटी खन्ना शामिल हैं, जो सैन्य सेवाओं से सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी हैं।

8) भारत और डेनमार्क ने स्वच्छ और टिकाऊ ऊर्जा समाधानों पर विशेष ध्यान देते हुए अपने ऊर्जा सहयोग को गहरा करने के लिए एक नए समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।

9) भारतीय वायु सेना (आईएएफ) ने उत्तर प्रदेश के शाहजहांपुर जिले में गंगा एक्सप्रेसवे के 3.5 किलोमीटर लंबे हिस्से पर अपनी बहुप्रतीक्षित “लैंड एंड गो” ड्रिल शुरू की, जो देश की रक्षा तैयारियों में एक महत्वपूर्ण मील का पत्थर है।

10) अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान (एम्स) भोपाल ने आयुष्मान भारत डिजिटल मिशन (एबीडीएम) के तहत कागज रहित और कतार रहित ओपीडी पंजीकरण प्रणाली को सफलतापूर्वक लागू करने के लिए देश भर के अस्पतालों में दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया है।

11) भारत ने जॉर्डन के अम्मान में उद्घाटन एशियाई अंडर-15 और अंडर-17 मुक्केबाजी चैंपियनशिप में शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए विभिन्न श्रेणियों में कुल 43 पदक हासिल किए। इनमें 15 स्वर्ण, 6 रजत और 22 कांस्य पदक शामिल हैं।
