The Indian Oil Corporation Limited Refineries Division Apprentice notification was released on May 3, 2025, and invites online applications from eligible candidates for Apprenticeship Training in different trades and technical disciplines. Over 1700+ apprentice vacancies are available across multiple IOCL refinery units in states such as Assam, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, and Haryana.
IOCL Refineries Division Apprentice Vacancies
The IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025 offers 1770 posts across multiple trades and disciplines. These include positions for both Technician Apprentices and Trade Apprentices, distributed across IOCL’s refineries in Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Odisha.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have passed the required qualification before the cutoff date (May 31, 2025). Eligible qualifications include:
- ITI pass in Fitter trade for Trade Apprentice (Fitter).
- 3-year Diploma in Engineering for Technician Apprentice posts.
- B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Math) for Chemical/Boiler Apprentice roles.
- B.Com/B.A. for Accountant and Secretarial Assistant posts.
- Class XII pass for Data Entry Operator roles.
Only regular full-time courses from recognized institutions are accepted. Candidates currently pursuing higher education or awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit
Applicants must be between 18 to 24 years of age as on May 31, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (additional relaxation for reserved categories)
Indian Oil Refineries Division Apprentice Selection Process
The IOCL Apprentice 2025 selection is purely merit-based, with no written exam. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying examination. In the case of a tie, the following criteria will be used:
- Older candidate by date of birth
- Higher marks in Class X (Matriculation)
Candidates should ensure their academic records are correctly entered during registration, as this directly affects merit ranking.
