Eligibility Criteria
Officers from Central or State Governments, Union Territories, autonomous bodies, statutory organizations, PSUs, recognized universities, or research institutions can apply if they meet the following:
Essential Criteria:
- Experience:
- Holding an analogous post regularly in the parent cadre/department
OR - 5 years of regular service in Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)
- Holding an analogous post regularly in the parent cadre/department
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized University/Institute
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a library setup under Central/State Govt., PSUs, Universities, etc.
Special Note for Departmental Candidates
Departmental Library and Information Assistants with:
- 5 years regular service in Level-6
- Required qualifications and experience
That can also apply. If selected, the post will be treated as filled by promotion.
Age Limit:
Note: Unemployed or private candidates are not eligible to apply.
Maximum age: 56 years as of the closing date of application.
