1- Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan launched Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan, SUMAN, initiative in New Delhi. The initiative was launched during the 13th Conference of Central Council of Health and Family Welfare.
केन्द्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉक्टर हर्षवर्धन ने विभिन्न राज्यों के स्वास्थ्य मंत्रियों के साथ नई दिल्ली में स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय की केन्द्रीय परिषद के 13वें सम्मेलन में सुरक्षित मातृत्व आश्वासन योजना – सुमन की शुरूआत की। इस योजना का उद्देश्य अस्पताल में मातृ और शिशु मृत्यु की रोकथाम, भुगतान रहित तथा सम्मानजनक और गुणवत्तापूर्ण चिकित्सा सुविधा उपलब्ध कराना है।
2- The 2019 Nobel Prize in Literature has been announced along with the 2018 Prize. Austrian author Peter Handke has won the 2019 Prize while Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk has received the 2018 Prize.

3- The Reserve Bank of India has rejected the merger proposal of Indiabulls Housing Finance and Lakshmi Vilas Bank.

4- The Reserve Bank of India has released the results of the September 2019 round of its Consumer Confidence Survey. The survey was conducted in 13 major cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram.
भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ने अपने उपभोक्ता विश्वास सर्वेक्षण के सितंबर 2019 के दौर के परिणाम जारी किए हैं। सर्वेक्षण 13 प्रमुख शहरों में किया गया था: अहमदाबाद, बेंगलुरु, भोपाल, चेन्नई, दिल्ली, गुवाहाटी, हैदराबाद, जयपुर, कोलकाता, लखनऊ, मुंबई, पटना और तिरुवनंतपुरम।
5- The Reserve Bank of India has given its final nod to the Kerala Government for the formation of the Kerala Bank. With its formation, the proposed Kerala Bank will be the largest banking network in the state.
भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ने केरल बैंक के गठन के लिए केरल सरकार को अंतिम मंजूरी दे दी है। इसके गठन के साथ, प्रस्तावित केरल बैंक राज्य का सबसे बड़ा बैंकिंग नेटवर्क होगा।
6- Russia has honoured NASA astronaut Nick Hague with one of its highest honours, “The Order of Courage“. Nick Hague survived an aborted space launch with Russian cosmonaut Aleksey Ovchinin when their Soyuz rocket failed minutes after blast-off from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in October 2018.
रूस ने नासा के अंतरिक्ष यात्री निक हेग को अपने सर्वोच्च सम्मान “द ऑर्डर ऑफ करेज” से सम्मानित किया है। अक्टूबर 2018 में कजाकिस्तान के बैकोनूर कोस्मोड्रोम से ब्लास्ट-ऑफ करने के कुछ ही मिनटों बाद निक हेग को रूसी कॉस्मोनॉट एलेक्सी ओवचिन के साथ एक अंतरिक्ष यान के प्रक्षेपण से बचा लिया गया।
7- Ministry of Home Affairs organized a sensitization workshop for nodal officers dealing with Disaster Management in all Departments and Ministries in New Delhi.

8- Jal Shakti Minister has launched an initiative ‘Ganga Amantran’. The initiative has been launched to connect with the stakeholders of the river.It is a pioneering exploratory open-water rafting and kayaking expedition on the Ganga river. The expedition will start at Devaprayag and culminate at Ganga Sagar covering the entire stretch of over 2500 kms of the River. Ganga Aamantran is the 1st ever effort by National Mission for Clean Ganga to raft across the entire stretch of the river.
केंद्र ने गंगा आमंत्रण अभियान की शुरुआत की, जो गंगा हितधारक से जुड़ने की अनूठी पहल है। इसका शुभारंभ जल शक्ति मंत्री श्री गजेन्द्र सिंह शेखावत ने किया। इस पहल के तहत, 10 अक्टूबर से 11 नवंबर, 2019 के बीच गंगा नदी पर एक खुला जल राफ्टिंग और कयाकिंग अभियान आयोजित किया जाएगा।अभियान देवप्रयाग में शुरू होगा और गंगा सागर में नदी के 2500 किलोमीटर से अधिक हिस्से को कवर करेगा। गंगा आमंत्रण, नदी को स्वच्छ बनाने के लिए राष्ट्रीय मिशन द्वारा स्वच्छ गंगा के लिए पहला प्रयास है।
9- The Central Government has constituted a committee of officers to suggest measures to augment GST revenue collections and administration. The terms of reference of the panel includes making suggestions related to systemic changes in goods and services tax (GST) including checks and balances to prevent misuse and measures to improve voluntary compliance.
केंद्र सरकार ने जीएसटी राजस्व संग्रह और प्रशासन को बढ़ाने के उपायों का सुझाव देने के लिए अधिकारियों की एक समिति का गठन किया है। पैनल के संदर्भ की शर्तों में माल और सेवा कर (जीएसटी) में प्रणालीगत बदलाव से संबंधित सुझाव देना शामिल है, जिसमें दुरुपयोग और स्वैच्छिक अनुपालन में सुधार के उपायों को रोकने के लिए चेक और बैलेंस शामिल हैं।
